This was great. I am having the same struggle and I will use some of these tips for sure.

As for the books, I read Fourth Wing last year. Quite a wild ride. And Burnout helped me quit a job that was slowly killing me.

Wow what a review for Burnout! I’ve started it and am slowly working through it alongside other books. Fourth Wing has been on my TBR list for a while!! Have you read the rest of the series?

I read the Iron Flame and was a bit disappointed. I found it to be unnecessarily long. Haven’t started the third one yet. It’s on the list ;)

Oh good to know! I’d only heard positive reviews of that series so far. I just haven’t made the dive, yet

Re: Substack, I’m noticing it feels totally different to scroll through notes (often walk away not having absorbed anything) vs reading newsletters (walk away with new ideas, feel energized), so I’m trying to stick mainly to those for the most part.

I’ve also discovered some “slow reading groups” on Substack that are bringing so much joy to my reading life!

I’ve seen a couple of those slow reading groups in my feed, love that idea! What are you reading?

I’m reading War and Peace! I started it last year but felt like I needed to brush up on more historical context. The group chat has a ton of knowledgeable people, so it’s adding a lot to my reading experience. It’s a great 15-20 min of my day to read a few pages and some chat about each chapter!
