Experiencing a Colorado fall for the first time changed me.
Where better to cold plunge in a river, warm up in a sauna, cozy up to a fire with hot chocolate, and then hike to your heart’s content the next day?
Last year, I shared a post about Colorado summers over everything else (where I included a long weekend itinerary in Buena Vista, CO).
But I’m not afraid to contradict myself or change my mind. How boring would life be if we never changed our minds?
Summer is officially here, and while I love living by the seasons, I’m aching for autumn each and every day, as I imagine Mr. Darcy would. I love autumn most ardently! Wanting to revisit my leaf-peeping, sweater-wearing, chilly-but-not-cold weekend in Colorado, I’m sharing what I got up to while there.
Luckily, all of the itinerary could be done in the summer, too! (But maybe leave the sweaters at home.) In fact, a few of the adventures on this list close for the season around early October, so get out to Creede for a long weekend and report back to me what I missed out on in autumn.
These Habitual Travel Itineraries are a special benefit available to my paid subscribers. Feeling FOMO? Became a paid subscriber so you don’t miss out!
