My 2024 word of the year is Aesthetic and it has increased my pleasure tenfold when it comes to appreciating beautiful things around me: clothes, candles, plants, words, food, wine, and ideas.
Even the way a match strikes when it’s lit — hold it for a moment. The imminent burn is worth it. 🔥I’ve been really vibing with others who are writing in a linear, listicle format lately (bullets of things they’re into, reading, thinking, loving, etc.) so this week — and probably once a month — I’ll be leaning into it, too.
